Gravity die casting

Gravity die casting is a metal casting process where molten metal is poured into a reusable metal mould. Gravity aids the flow of the metal into the mould cavity, resulting in a more controlled and uniform filling. Once the metal solidifies, the mould is opened, and the casting is removed. Gravity die casting is ideal for producing high-quality, dimensionally accurate, and repeatable metal components, commonly used in automotive and other industrial applications.

Benefits

  • High Dimensional Accuracy: Compared to sand casting, gravity die casting delivers precise and consistent dimensions, often requiring minimal post-casting machining.
  • Smooth Surface Finish: Compared to sand casting, this process results in smooth and refined surfaces, reducing the need for additional finishing steps.
  • Consistent Quality: Gravity die casting ensures uniform and repeatable results, essential for maintaining product quality.
